This post is a part of a blog conversation over at FredMcKinnon.Com with other worship leaders about their Sunday services. Pop on over and see what these creative worship leaders have done in churches all over the US and even the world!
Today was a wonderful day at The Brook. We once again mixed things up a bit which I think keeps us attentive and more freshly aware of the move of God. Our focus was on being facedown before God, being humble and awed before Him. Today we felt a movement of the Spirit in a way that was - well - different. I don't know how to explain it except to say that I felt like God was waiting for us, that He is longing to bring a breakthrough to us as we worship. It was powerful. We saw many people really praying and getting real with God. We were particularly blessed to hear Richard and Amy Buckley (our interim pastor and his wife) share their testimony about their adopted son Samuel and the difficulties their family had. I was moved to tears as Amy recounted that although their prayers were not answered as they had desired, as they wished and hoped, they still believed God! It was powerful. Josh wrapped things up and challenged us to get facedown before God for our families and for our church.
Here's what we did....

So how was your Sunday?
Tell us about a special moment for you today.
I was reading through your set list and thinking "Surely they did the song 'Facedown' at some point." Haha.
Good set list. I've been singing "Indescribable" to myself the past couple days.

I didn't realize Daniel did that Isaiah video - he did a great job on that! I'll have to tell him I really enjoyed that.

Mixing it up is always good... I really struggle with this sometimes though... it's so easy to fall into system that works, and forget that it's not the system that makes it work... it's God!

I used that video a few months ago. That is an amazing tool to lead in to worship.
