Today we covered the topic of "Fighting Forward" - how conflict can end up being a positive thing and how God desires us to be reconciled with one another in the church. It was - of course - a challenging word from God because we all have experienced the reality of conflict within the church. I just think it hurts worse there than almost anywhere else. Maybe it's because we really don't think we're ever supposed to have conflict in the church. Dealing with it and loving one another in a Godly, biblical way is so much more challenging to practice than it is to talk about!
Here's what we did:
Countdown
Worship
1. Awesome is the Lord Most High (Tomlin - Passion version)
2. How Great is Our God (Tomlin again)
3. It is Well (Passion version)
4. Jesus, You Are the One (Jan Owen and Dell Wilson)
Skit: The Love Coach (Willowcreek)
Sermon
Response: Salt and Light (Jamie Smith)
The skit was funny and we have not had a humorous element in a while so that was interesting. I took lots of notes and have some real dilemmas to pray through. Pray with me!
**On a personal note, this was one of those Sundays I would have preferred to sat in the back row and been led in worship. Phil left in the midst of the first service for a week in Germany and I am going in tomorrow for some tests that I am very nervous about. The combination made it hard for me to lead. I just wanted to sit in worship this morning. Those are the mornings I struggle with. **

How was your Sunday?
I pray for peace in your heart, mind and soul through the chaos. Great set.

praying for a good report buddy. God rewards the faithful....way to stick it out. Just think of it like playing football with bruised ribs....those days build trust, character, and passion. Sorry for the bad analogy I just love football : )

It is well! What a powerful song I love the verse that says
My sin O the bliss of this glorious thought
My sin not in part but the whole
Is nailed to the cross and I bear it no more
Praise the Lord praise the Lord O my soul!
