Hey, in conjunction with Fred McKinnon's weekly "Sunday Setlist" here's a rundown on what we did today at The Brook. We are almost through with our "Momentum" series and today we talked about the "Pit Crew" - we've been playing off of a car moving forward this whole time so we used a video of a pit crew and what all they do as a team to do the best job they can and Richard compared this to how we need tow work together as a church. He taught from Nehemiah 3, where they rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem together.
Here's what we did in worship:
Countdown: Still using the "Winding Roads" countdown.
Worship:
1. My Savior Lives (New Life - Jon Egan and Glen Packham) - we used this while people greeted one another. A good high energy way to kick off the morning.
2. Bless His Name (Vineyard) - I slowed this down at the end and did a couple of the closing choruses softer and slower and led directly into "Enough"
3. Enough
4. I Give You Everything (Dell Wilson and Jan Owen) - this song really mirrors what God is doing in my life right now.
Sermon with pit crew video
Closing song: This is Our God - Tomlin and Crowde - in the 2nd service we had a rhythm problem starting this and so we got out of sync with one another. This distracted me and I couldn't think of the first words - only that it was something about "Refuge".....oh well, those things happen.
That's it - nothing fancy today, but a solid service I thought.
How was your day?
Jan,
Is that "I Give You Everything" original? I'd love to hear it!
For the Kingdom,
Fred McKinnon

You know, I never looked at your post of the song a few days ago! Argh! Headed that way when the kids go to sleep.
Nice set list! I think that everyone did a Chris Tomlin song this morning. Ours was "Not To Us."
